RevoDx Enterobacter Cloacae qPCR Kit
Enterobacter cloacae, has only recently been perceived as a pathogen related to nosocomial infections (hospital infections). The bacterium can cause pneumonia, septicaemia, urinary tract and wound infections and, in newborns, meningitis. Patients are at risk if they come into direct or indirect contact with contaminated persons or objects. The pathogens can also be transmitted via contaminated infusion solutions or blood products.
Enterobacter cloacae is a clinically significant Gram-negative, facultatively-anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium. The single circular chromosome DNA is 4,876,946 bp long with a GC content of 55.9%. Its genome encodes 4,827 genes, 86 tRNAs and 25 rRNAs.

RevoDx Enterobacter cloacae qPCR Kit is a real-time PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of Enterobacter cloacae DNA.
